BIOGRAPHY OF RICHARD CARDINALE

Attorney Richard Cardinale graduated from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts with honors and has been practicing law in New York City since 1991.

From 1991 to 1994, Mr. Cardinale practiced criminal defense law and represented thousands of individuals charged with felonies and misdemeanors.

In 1994, Mr. Cardinale joined one of Manhattan's leading personal injury firms where he represented numerous individuals in personal injury lawsuits.

Mr. Cardinale entered government service in 1995 when he was appointed to be an Assistant Attorney General for the State of New York. In this position, Mr. Cardinale defended police officers, corrections officers, the State of New York, and government entities such as the State University of New York and the City University of New York in civil rights and employment lawsuits. Mr. Cardinale was eventually promoted to the position of supervisor and was responsible for handling and supervising the defense of some of the office's most significant cases, including class actions. Mr. Cardinale tried over 20 cases in federal court during his tenure at the Attorney General's Office.

In 1998, Mr. Cardinale joined the New York City Corporation Counsel's Office where he was employed in the Special Federal Litigation Division and the General Litigation Division. As an Assistant Corporation Counsel, Mr. Cardinale defended police officers, corrections officers and the City of New York and city agencies in federal civil rights and employment cases. Mr. Cardinale tried numerous cases in federal court while employed by the City of New York.

Mr. Cardinale started his own firm in 2000 and has since represented countless victims of police misconduct and brutality.
